There are a total of 3641 registered cooperatives in the Basque Country: 567 in Alava, 1747 in Bizkaia and 1377 in Gipuzkoa.
In the last three months, from December 2023 to March 2024, nine new cooperatives have been registered in the Basque Cooperatives Register. In this short period of time, six new co-operatives have been set up in Alava and seven in Gipuzkoa.
