On February 25, the BAT Tower | B Accelerator Tower in Bilbao will host the conference “The strategic role of cooperative companies in the competitiveness and industry of the Basque Country.”
The institutional opening will be conducted by Patxi Olabarria, President of Kooperatiben Kontseilua, and Mikel Torres, Vice President and Minister of Economy, Labor, and Employment of the Basque Government.
Next, James Wilson, CEO of Orkestra – Basque Institute of Competitiveness, will give a talk entitled “Competitiveness, industry, and evidence: the Basque context,” in which he will analyze the current situation and challenges facing the industrial sector.
The KONFEKOOP Industrial Report, entitled “Contributions of the Industrial Roundtable of Cooperative Companies to the strategic industrial sovereignty of the Basque Country,” will also be presented during the conference. The presentation will be given by Rosa Lavín, president of KONFEKOOP.
The meeting will continue with a round table discussion entitled “Competitiveness from the cooperative experience,” moderated by Lucas Irigoyen, economics editor at El Correo.
The following will participate in the conversation:
- Manu Muñoz, founder and CEO of I+Med
- Javier Amezaga, Vice President and General Manager of the Equipment Division at MONDRAGON Corporation
- Patxi Azpiazu, Chairman of the Governing Board of ONNERA Group
The day will conclude with an institutional closing ceremony led by Patxi Olabarria and Mikel Torres.
