Kooperatiben Kontseilua organises a course on cooperative enterprise as part of the Uda Ikastaroak-UIK programme. The course will be free of charge and will be held on 14 July at the Miramar Palace in Donostia.
Basque cooperativism is an international benchmark model of entrepreneurship. We will begin by taking a walk through the history of Basque cooperativism, highlighting the most important milestones, as well as getting to know the benchmark sectors and the cooperative ecosystem in the Basque Country.
This is a business model that is deeply rooted in our territory and is often unknown to young people, despite having values that they identify with to perfection.
At the end of the day, we will have the opportunity to find out about the challenges facing the Basque cooperative movement today.
Objetives of the course
- To get to know the Basque cooperative movement in detail.
- To learn about the business model with values and principles.
- To become familiar with the different cooperative sectors in the Basque Country.
- The cooperative company, another way of doing business.
Bea Balerdi Ozaeta, technical secretary of Kooperatiben Kontseilua, will be the course director and the following experts will be taking part: Marta Enciso Santolcides, Rosa Lavín, Leire Mugerza Garate, Patxi Olaberria Furundarena and Igor Ortega Sunsundegui.
